Flapjacks opened its doors in 1979, at a time when dining out for breakfast was virtually unheard of. The concept of breakfast any time of the day, generous portions, moderately priced, all in a casual atmosphere was very appealing. It quickly became a favorite destination, for restaurant goers located minutes south of” Forks of the Credit”, in the beautiful Caledon country side.
Over the last 30 years the décor may have changed, but owner Maria D’Urso has made sure the “Home style” meals that have made Flapjacks famous have stayed the same, while adding some new favorites along the way.
Maria and her chef’s take great pride in maintaining the highest quality standards, using local produce when in season. In step with the healthier food choices customers are making today, we have taken the lead in serving only Omega 3 eggs, and using only trans fat free Canola oil. For the carb conscious consumer, freshly prepared fruits and salads may be substituted. Accommodating specialty diets and food allergies is no problem for us, just inform our friendly staff.
